About Armed Forces Corp
Armed Forces Corp puts you in the boots of a mercenary sent into a skyscraper overrun by well-organized terrorists, tasked with recovering information nobody wants to lose. City Interactive built this as a straightforward military shooter, and it doesn’t waste time dressing up the premise.
The story shifts between two threads. One has you working as part of an international peace-keeping force stationed in the Middle East, trying to restore order to a war-torn region. The other drops you into that skyscraper heist, chasing intel through a building full of hostiles who clearly know you’re coming.
Eight missions span a genuinely varied mix of locations. Dangerous city streets, exotic villages, military bases, rocky canyons, underground caverns, and crowded marketplaces all show up, giving each level a distinct feel even within the same overall campaign.
Equipment leans into modern special-ops gear. Night vision goggles let you push through dark sections without getting caught flat-footed, M84 flashbangs clear rooms before you breach them, and an S10 gas mask keeps you moving through contaminated areas that would otherwise stop you cold.
Weapon selection covers the usual modern military loadout. A SIG-Sauer P226 serves as your sidearm, while M4A1 rifles, AKS-74U carbines favored by enemy forces, and M249 light machine guns all show up across the campaign’s firefights.
Combat plays out across sewers, city blocks, and tighter indoor spaces, with enemy AI built to hold defensive positions rather than rush you blindly. Clearing a room methodically works better here than charging straight through a doorway.
Visual presentation runs on a modified engine shared with other shooters of its era, giving the game dynamic lighting and explosion effects that were a step up from the budget shooter crowd it competed against on release.
For fans of straightforward, budget-friendly military shooters from the late 2000s, Armed Forces Corp delivers exactly what it promises. No frills, no twists, just a mercenary with a rifle working through a war zone one objective at a time.
